Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Ad Threads collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to adthreads.co and related services (the "Service").

1. What we collect

• Account info: email address, display name, username, password (hashed by our auth provider), and anything you add to your profile (avatar, bio).
• Content: posts, comments, reactions, direct messages, and images you upload.
• Payment info: if you subscribe to Ad Threads Paid, billing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details, only your subscription status.
• Payout info: if you participate in the affiliate program, the Litecoin address you provide for payouts.
• Usage & device data: basic analytics (via Google Analytics) such as pages visited and general location/device type, and standard server logs (IP address, browser) collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare).

2. How we use it

• To operate the feed, messaging, notifications, and affiliate program.
• To process payments and calculate affiliate commissions.
• To send account-related email (welcome, billing, referral, moderation notices) via Resend.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• To understand aggregate usage via Google Analytics, so we can improve the product.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with the vendors that run the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
• Google Analytics — aggregate, privacy-conscious usage analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the Service.

4. Public content

Posts, comments, reactions, and profile info are public by design — that's the point of a public feed. Direct messages are private between participants. Blocking a user hides your content from each other but does not retroactively delete anything already seen or cached elsewhere.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect sign-in.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@adthreads.co. Some records (e.g. affiliate payout history, transaction records) may be retained where we have a legal or accounting obligation to do so.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@adthreads.co.

8. Children

Ad Threads is not directed at, and not intended for use by, anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
